How Zooby protects clinic and pet parent data · Updated 12 September 2026
This page describes the safeguards in place for the data described in our Privacy Policy. It is written for clinic owners deciding whether to trust Zooby with their records, and for pet parents who want to know how their details are handled.
1. Where data lives
All data is stored on servers located in India. Backups are taken regularly and kept in India.
2. Encryption
Every connection to Zooby uses HTTPS (TLS). Integration credentials a clinic stores with us — payment gateway keys, GST filing tokens — are encrypted at rest with keys that are not stored alongside the data, and are never shown back in the interface once saved.
3. Access control
Each clinic's data is isolated to that clinic and, for multi-branch organisations, to the organisation. Roles (owner, vet, reception, and so on) decide what each staff member can see and do. A pet parent sees only their own pets. Zooby staff access customer data only to provide support, and only when asked.
4. Audit trail
Changes to clinical records, prescriptions, stock, invoices and user accounts are recorded with who made them and when. Clinic owners can review this log in Settings → Audit Log.
5. Payments
Card and UPI details are handled entirely by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS certified payment provider. Zooby receives only the outcome and a reference.
6. Third parties
Data is shared only with providers needed to run the service (messaging, email, payments, GST filing, AI assistance, hosting), each under its own contractual obligations, and only the data each one needs. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.
7. Incidents
If we learn of a breach affecting your data we will inform affected clinics without undue delay, tell them what happened and what we are doing, and notify authorities where the law requires.
8. Your part
Use a strong password, do not share logins, remove staff who leave, and keep the devices you use up to date. Report anything suspicious to support@zooby.in.
